What can I expect from the ‘Small is Beautiful’ exhibition in NYC?
“Small is Beautiful” is a unique exhibition dedicated to miniature art, which brings together 30+ artists from around the world. Expect to see more than 130 artworks by miniature artists, along with over 80 photographs touching on multitude themes. There is also a video space that allows you to get a behind-the-scenes look at miniature art creation as well as creative workshops for children.
What is miniature art?
Miniature art is an art form that plays with scale and perspective. It invites us to see the world differently and brings our childhood imagination back to life. Miniature art is extremely varied. Some artists transform already existing everyday objects, whereas others prefer to create their work from scratch, often by hand and with extreme precision.

How long does the exhibition last?
The exhibition runs from February 21, 2023.
Are the pieces exposed in the exhibition original copies?
The exhibition features original pieces created by the artists along with limited and numbered edition photos of their work, as well as photos that are not part of a limited edition.
Is it possible to buy exposed art on site?
No, it will not be possible to buy the exposed art. However, there will be a shop onsite where limited edition and unique art pieces as well as other items, such as posters and tote bags, will be available for both ticket and non-ticket holders to purchase.
Will there be other merchandise for sale?
Yes, there will be an assortment of merchandise available for purchase including, but not limited to, postcards, posters, books, and tote bags.
Will audio guides be available on site?
An audio guide is available and will be available by scanning the QR codes found throughout the exhibit. There is a QR code in each of the 7 themed areas of the exhibit, each unlocking audio which describes the artists and pieces featured in that space as well as more about miniature art as a movement. We recommend that you bring your own headphones and make sure to charge your phone ahead of time to be able to access this feature of the exhibit.
Do I have to pay extra for the audio guide?
No, the exhibition includes an audio guide that can be downloaded to your smartphone and for which we strongly encourage guests to bring their own headphones.
What languages will the audio guide be provided in?
The audio guide will be in English. Unfortunately we are not able to offer the guide in other languages at present, but we are looking to hopefully offer more languages in the future.
Will there be guided tours?
No, there will only be an audio guide (accessed via personal mobile devices) available to guide you through the various sections of the exhibit.
What is the estimated duration of visit?
The visit has an estimated duration of up to 90 minutes. Please note that if you are booking the last session of the day, the doors will close ~15 minutes after the start time and the venue closes 90 minutes after the start time to allow you sufficient time to complete your visit.
What do the creative workshops for kids involve?
The creative workshops we offer on Sundays are a chance for kids to dip their toes into the wonderful world of miniature art. There will be a new workshop theme each week inspired by one of the artists displayed in the exhibit. Most Sundays there will be two workshops, one for 5-8 yr olds and the other for 9-12 yr olds. Will Covid safety regulations be in place on site?
Any regulations in place at the time of the experience, in NY or the greater US, will be observed.
Will there be strobe lights?
There will be no strobe lights at this exhibit.

Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets are available online on Fever
here. It will also be possible for you to buy your ticket on-site at the entrance of the exhibition. Attention: cash payments are not accepted.
Who are the official ticket sellers for the exhibition?
The official ticketing platform for the event is Fever, which has tickets
available here. No other online ticketing platform has access to tickets for the Small Is Beautiful: Miniature Art Exhibition in NYC.
What are the accepted payment methods?
Tickets are available online on Fever
by clicking here, with secure payment by credit card or Paypal. It will also be possible to buy your ticket on-site at the entrance of the exhibition. Attention: cash payments are not accepted.
Can I change my ticket? Are tickets refundable?
Subject to availability, changes of date and/or time are permitted up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience. In such a case, please
contact us indicating your ticket ID. Refunds are not allowed under any circumstances. For more information, you can refer to our
T&Cs.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking “Transfer Tickets” on your ticket on the Fever App. Please
contact us for additional help. Make sure to include our ticket order number.
I don’t see a QR code. Is that normal?
Yes, each ticket’s corresponding QR code will be available 24 hours before its date and time. At the entrance, simply access the Fever app to validate your ticket(s).
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, your contactless ticket swill be validated directly in the Fever app.
ABOUT ACCESS TO THE EXHIBITION
Is there a ticket office on site?
Yes, you can buy your tickets on-site. However, it is better to buy your tickets online in advance if you want to be sure of getting a ticket for your desired timeslot.
Is the exhibition suitable for children?
The exhibition is suitable for children, especially those aged 6 and above (free for children under 6). Additionally, children's workshops (visit to the exhibition and creative workshop) are set up. They are only accessible through prior reservation on the exhibition’s website.
Should I arrive at the time indicated on my ticket or earlier?
Please arrive at the time indicated on your ticket to avoid any crowding and in order to respect the capacity limits.
What happens if I arrive late?
We may not be able to guarantee entry if you do not show up at the time indicated on your ticket. We will therefore ask you to wait until we can accommodate you.
What are the prohibited items during the exhibition?
Please do not bring any sharp objects, paints, aerosol cans,suitcases, extra large bags, weapons of any kind (including knives and guns), or other hazardous materials.
Will there be a cloak room available?
Yes, there will be a cloak room available on site where you can store your coats and other belongings for the duration of the exhibition. The cost will be $2 per person and this can be paid for on-site. Please note only credit card payment will be accepted.
Can I smoke or vape during the exhibition?
It is forbidden to smoke or vape during the exhibition.
Is alcohol / drinks / food allowed during the exhibition?
It is forbidden to consume food or drink (incl. alcohol) during the experiment. We do not offer a snack/bar/catering service, but you will find many different food outlets in the area.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Toilets are available on site and are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Is there parking access near the event?
Yes (street parking / car parks)
Does the exhibition have access for people with reduced or imparied mobility?
Unfortunately, the venue housing Small is Beautiful is not fully wheelchair accessible, at present. The exhibit occupies two floors within a building that requires stairs to access the second level. SiB does not own this building and thus has no ability to install elevator access at this time. We deeply apologize for the lack of elevator access and are happy to assist guests in any way we can. Is the exhibition wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, the venue housing Small is Beautiful is not fully wheelchair accessible, at present. The exhibit occupies two floors within a building that requires stairs to access the second level. Are strollers allowed?
Yes, strollers are allowed. But please note that this venue occupies two floors within a building that requires stairs to access the second level, so a stroller would need to be carried to the second floor to be used there.
Is the experience accessible for deaf people?
Yes, the experience is accessible for deaf people. In one section we have a video showing behind-the-scenes footage of the art being made and this is subtitled in English.
Do carers have to pay for a ticket?
Carers are welcomed at the exhibition with free admission upon showing the appropriate documentation at the entrance.
Can I take pictures?
Yes, photos (with or without flash) are allowed.
What do I do if I leave or lose something at the exhibit?
If you are in the area and wish to pass by the venue to ask personnel about any missing items, please feel free to do this. Otherwise, please contact us
here and we will see with the venue if they have found your missing item. If so, you can then pass by the venue to pick it up at a time of your convenience.

Are service animals allowed inside?
Yes, service animals are admitted inside the exhibition. However, no other pets or animals are allowed.
